About Our Cottage & Our Farm
Mistydawn Cottage is a perfect escape where you can relax and rejuvenate amidst the beauty of nature.
Our charming 6-sleeper, self-catering cottage is nestled on a 50-hectare working avocado and protea farm in Magoebaskloof, just a short 7.5 km or 12-minute drive from the quaint village of Haenertsburg.
The cottage is situated on a working avocado and protea farm, of which we are just in the beginning stages of cultivation! We are also in the process of completing our trout dam. There area numerous walking trails that vary in intensity and scenery on and around the farm.
The views from the farm are particularly spectacular as you gaze over the neighboring dairy farm and over to the Wolkberg mountains in the distance.
One of our favourite pastimes is sitting back and watching the ever-changing weather (some of which you may be a part of!), as this region is known as the Land of the Silvermist.
Mistydawn Cottage is easily accessible from the R71, and we are fortunate to have good road access.
With wedding venues nearby and plenty of opportunities for leisure and adventure, Mistydawn Cottage is the perfect choice for your holiday accommodation, whether you're planning a getaway with family or a group of friends!
